Do I need a book?
Yes. Bible Cafe™ studies are built on the model of church Bible study groups. We do not sell books.
Your study book is available from most bookstores. Digital books are sometimes available from Lifeway, ChristianBooks, Barnes and Noble, Amazon, or iTunes. When using a digital book we recommend a journal for writing your responses to the workbook questions.
What type of studies do you offer?
We teach many Bible study methods including topical studies about a specific theme and character studies about a person from the Bible. Our studies are adapted from Bible study workbooks, commentaries, or chapter books. We use study books from a variety of Bible teachers and alternate between shorter 6-week studies and longer 10-week studies.
Are Zoom groups recorded so I can watch it later?
For the privacy of our members, recording the small groups is a violation of our terms of service.
Webinars at Bible Cafe™ University are recorded by our team and accessible on-demand through the BCU membership website.
How do you select the books for the Bible Cafe™?
We pray. We look at our community groups to discern what topics will help them understand Scripture.
FULL DISCLOSURE: We are not affiliated with the authors and publishers. We do not receive compensation from authors or publishers when we lead their studies.
What Bible do you use for online study?
We recommend using the same Bible translation your local church is using. The inside cover of every book we select lists the translation the author and publisher are using for their book.
What church are you affiliated with?
Bible Cafe™ is a Christian nondenominational ministry. We are a considered parachurch ministry and not affiliated with a specific denomination. Our 30 volunteer leaders are members of various churches including African Methodist Episcopal, Baptist, Evangelical, Methodist, Lutheran, Pentecostal, Protestant, Southern Baptist, and similar denominations.
